I hope everyone had a fun Fourth of July. I did, despite the fact that the fireworks were rained out for the second year in a row.
My family, Andrew, and I spent a lovely week at the beach, although I do find the ocean somewhat terrifying. Simply put, it was nice to be removed from normal life and its innumerable distractions and just concentrate on what (and more importantly, who) you love. The girls came down, too, which was so nice because organizing six busy schedules (and the fact that Judith is now a Jersey Grrl) is pretty difficult. So I enjoyed being with them all. And the amount of general memory-making was incredible.
